What Is A Sex Coach?
SEX THERAPIST (noun):
Approaches sexual issues from a psychological perspective.
Some will come to your house, watch you work, and give you pointers; others stick to a talk-based method. These coaches offer insight into how clients can improve their sex lives and overcome erotic barriers. If that sounds like therapy to you, well, it isn’t—not quite.
A sex coach is a trained professional who works with clients to overcome sexual concerns. A sex coach is not a therapist. A sex coach also doesn’t have sex with clients!
The main difference between a sex coach and sex therapist is the way in which a sex coach addresses sexual concerns. Sex therapy focuses on a client’s past experiences and any psychological factors that may interfere with their sexual functioning. Sex coaching focuses on what’s happening in the client’s present life and is a collaborative approach that involves personalized education, skill building, and action plans that will improve sexual satisfaction. A sex coach works with individuals and couples in a creative process that promotes healing and the use of home assignments that empower the client to take control of their sexual health and embrace sexuality in a positive way.
Why work with a sexuality coach?
Since sex is something that is shamed in our culture, talking about it or giving explicit instruction still remains rare. Young adults have very few good ways to learn how to have satisfying sex. A few will be lucky enough to have a partner teach them.
Unfortunately, most people don’t give good feedback, so many people end up not knowing what makes for great sex. This is where working with a good sexuality coach can be very helpful. Sex is learnable and teachable. The best way to learn about it is to get feedback from an experienced, non-judgmental and cheer-leading person. It’s most helpful if they also understand both the physiology and the psychology of sex.
Most people don’t have any idea how their body really works, what they authentically desire in bed, what kind of a relationship they really want, or how to talk about sex in a healthy, open, respectful way.
At no point in most of our lives is healthy, open sexual communication ever modeled for us. It’s super common for folks to feel ashamed, awkward, frustrated, or just plain lost when it comes to openly and easily talking about sexual needs and desires.
Sexuality coaching is a powerful way to rewrite the rules so that they work for you, so you can thrive. Sex can be awkward. Sex can feel like a burden. And so often we feel inadequate or broken.
A sexuality coach can help you realize that you’re normal, healthy, and deserving of love, pleasure, and respect.
Having a coach to help walk with you through the tough stuff can get you where you want to go much faster than you would on your own. It’s like having a cheerleader, an accountability buddy, and a sexpert helping you navigate all the tricky places where you typically get stuck.
Like many things, coaching can completely transform the rest of your life or it can be a little blip on the radar – the determining factor is how ready you are to do the work and how open you are to trying on some new perspectives.
DISCOVER YOUR UNLIMITED SEXUALITY
Sexuality Coaching may be good for people who want to explore issues relating to sexuality, desire, intimacy in relationships, power dynamics in relationships or any patterns that are displeasing or causing stress.
Coaching is about getting honest about where you are, figuring out where you’d like to go, and then creating concrete steps to move you in the direction of your desired future. It can be challenging, transforming, insightful, and give you tools that help you navigate future challenges.
People come to explore sexual problems, relationship problems and to expand their sexual menus.

Sexual Healing Is Possible
We live in a world where SEX SELLS, but many people are in real need of sexual healing. Sex is still a taboo topic, which means people suffer in silence for years before seeking help.
